Shin Yeon-Jeong

Kim Hong-Keun
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between sub-factors of cognitive function and depression in elderly who suffer from stroke. CSOA and KGDS scores of 34 inpatients with stroke recruited from the K hospital located in D city were compared to those scores of 26 normal elderly individuals. Independent sample t-tests to compare the sub-factors of cognitive functions between two groups found that those with stroke demonstrated significantly low scores in sub-factors of cognitive function, but had a higher score in depression. Pearson¡¯s r further confirmed the inverse relationship between sub-factors of cognitive function disorder and depression in the stroke group.
